⏱️ Timeline

8:00 AM DC Peaks team drops off supplies at aid station
9:45 AM Volunteers arrive at Mueller Park Canyon entrance
10:45 AM First runners expected to arrive
5:00 PM STRICT CUTOFF TIME - No exceptions!
6:30 PM Last runners expected (if they made cutoff)

🎯 Responsibilities

🏃 Runner Support (CRITICAL)

  • ACTIVELY approach runners
  • Take bottles/packs and fill them
  • Ask: water, electrolytes, or both?
  • Offer food and nutrition
  • Provide encouragement!

📋 Runner Tracking (CRITICAL)

  • Check in EVERY runner arrival
  • Check out EVERY runner departure
  • Cannot be missed - safety critical

🏥 Safety & Medical

  • Know emergency procedures
  • Record drops (bib # and reason)
  • Coordinate medical needs
  • Contact race directors if needed

🚨 CRITICAL: 5:00 PM CUTOFF ENFORCEMENT

  • ⚠️ STRICT 5:00 PM CUTOFF - NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • ⚠️ This is the ONLY cutoff in the race - you must enforce it
  • ✓ Runners who make cutoff: we wait for them to finish (no finish cutoff)
  • ✓ It's 9.5 miles to next aid station with 2,000' climbing on beautiful single track
  • ✓ Two race distances: 50M (blue bibs) and 55K (green bibs)
  • ✓ Drop bags: Organize by bib #. Create a 'used' section for ease and speed. Bring all drop bags to the Finish Line.
  • ✓ Pacers can start from here (no waiver needed)
  • ✓ Porta potty will be provided on 1800 S
